GEORGIA: AIA Atlanta Under Construction Tour

AIA Atlanta Tours Committee & USGBC partnership for Under-Construction Tours presents 1075 Peachtree Under Construction Tour January 7th, 2010 from 5:30 to 7:00 pm.  The tour will be hosted by RJT+R & Brasfield and Gorrie and is a LEED Silver Project.

Location: 1075 Peachtree Street, Atlanta, GA 30309 (MARTA accessible and parking available)

Sustainable Site

  • Previously Developed Site Community Connectivity
  • Reduced pollution and land development impacts from automobile use

Water Efficiency

  • Native and drought tolerant plant material
  • No permanent irrigation system
  • Water savings of 31.8%

Energy & Atmosphere

  • Commissioning of the Buildings Energy Systems
  • Measurement & Verification Plan being composed

Materials and Resources

  • Infrastructure in place for tenant recycling
  • At least 10% recycled content materials and 10% regional materials
  • A minimum of 50% of all the wood products used are Cerfitied by the Forestry Stewardship Council

Indoor Environmental Quality

  • Monitored outdoor air volumes
  • Building materials specified to contain little or no VOC’s
  • Floor area in the core and shell space will have high levels of natural light and over 90% of the occupants
  • Views to the outdoors
  • HVAC system was designed to facilitate acceptable thermal conditions for building occupants
