About Us

SouthernModern is dedicated to promoting mid-century and modern structures in the southern United States.  As defined by the United States Census Bureau, the Southern region of the United States includes sixteen states and the District of Columbia.  The Census Bureau defined three smaller units, or divisions:

• The South Atlantic States: Florida, Georgia, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Washington, D.C., and Delaware
• The East South Central States: Alabama, Kentucky, Mississippi and Tennessee
• The West South Central States: Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Texas

SouthernModern will focus on these locations in our offerings.  Too often these beautiful designs are over-shadowed by their Gone With The Wind counterparts that seem to go hand-in-hand with the southern stereotype of architecture.
